Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki met with UN Habitat Executive Director Sharif who visited Türkiye.
United Nations Habitat Executive Director Maimunah Mohd Sharif visited Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. At the meeting, where cooperation efforts were consulted, it was agreed to open a United Nations Habitat Office in Istanbul.
In his statement after the meeting, Minister Özhaseki said, "Our Zero Waste movement, which is an example to the world under the leadership of Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, will continue its pioneering role by producing stronger works with our office to be opened in Istanbul."
