The Erzurum WWTP will meet the wastewater treatment needs of the city until 2040. It will help prevent the contamination of Karasu and Euphrates rivers. The plant, which has outstanding facilities with sustainable features, will meet its energy needs by powering itself with the actual wastewater it will treat by burning sludge.

The plant has a capacity to treat 64 thousand cubic meters of wastewater. The network built to support the city stretches to 24.8 kilometers. In addition, 7 kilometers of wastewater collectors, 3 kilometers of pressurized sewage lines and 2.2 kilometers of rainwater drainage lines were constructed.
