The "In-kind Grant Support Agreement" between the two countries was signed by Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Balal Muhammed Kusmen, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia. At the press conference held after the signing ceremony, President Erdoğan emphasized that they discussed the Türkiye-Somalia relations in detail during their meetings with President Mahmud of Somalia and that they agreed to increase their cooperation in various fields and to strengthen the contractual basis of the relations.
