The opening ceremony of the service for the “Construction for Water Supply in Manavgat” which in scope of the Manavgat Water and Waste Water Project, coordinated by the Department of EU Investments within Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, has been realized on 2 July 2013.
The works contract has been signed on 19 December 2011 and the commencement date of the Works Contract was 30 January 2012. The work has been completed on 13 June 2013. The contract value is 6,9 million Euro.
In the scope of the contract, the following activities have been carried out.
- Installation of monitoring system at reservoirs and wells, incl flow meters
- Installation of 5 new pumps (E&M) at new wells, and replacement of 3 pumps at the existing well
- Transmission line from new wells to new reservoir DY1
- New reservoir DY1, 10,000 m3
- Transmission line from DY1 to existing network
- Transmission line to Kızılağaç
- Replacement of galvanized house connections
- Replacement and extension of water network
The following objectives were reached with the completion of the work:
- Improving public health by reducing drinking water supply interruptions which may contribute to poor tap water quality.
- Reduction of water loss
