The Opening Event of the "Preparation, Implementation and Monitoring of Species Action Plans for Endangered Species in Turkey within the Concept of a New Methodology" Project was held at the Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center on Tuesday, 14th of December, with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli.
After the presentation of Borut Rubinic, Team Leader of the Endangered Species Project, Aytaç Yüksel, the Head of Operating Structure and Director-General of EU and Foreign Relations, Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, İsmail Üzmez, the General Director of Nature Conservation and National Parks shared general information regarding the Endangered Species project.
After the speech of the European Union Delegation to Turkey/Financial Cooperation Vice President Angel Gutierrez HIDALGO, TBMM Agriculture Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission President Prof. Dr. Yunus Kılıç evaluated the scope of preventive activities.
In his speech, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli stated that "Protecting, recording and ensuring the sustainability of our endangered species is no longer a choice, it is our debt to future generations."
