A site visit was held within the scope of the Polatlı Wastewater Project, implemented within the scope of the Environment Operational Programme and financed by the Republic of Turkey and the European Union with the participation of; Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, General Director of European Union and Foreign Relations and Head of Operating Structure Mr. Aytaç YÜKSEL, Head of European Union Investments Department and IPA Director Dr. İsmail Raci BAYER and the administrative and technical personnel of the contracting authority.
3 contracts including technical assistance and consultancy service contract, wastewater treatment plant and wastewater collection network and collector line construction, and equipment supply were signed within the scope of the project having a contract value of approximately 16.5 million Euros, whose end beneficiary is the Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration General Directorate.
Within the scope of the construction contract; a wastewater treatment plant, approximately 83 km wastewater sewerage collector line and wastewater collection network and 3 septic tanks were built. The capacity of the Wastewater Treatment Plant is 19.872 m3/day in the first stage (year 2025). The Treatment Plant consists of physical treatment, biological treatment and sludge dewatering units. Carbon and nitrogen removal is provided by treatment. The final acceptance of the facility was made on 20/11/2018 and it was transferred to ASKİ.
