The "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Environment" signed between Turkey and the Maldives and the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Meteorology" signed between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates were approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and published in the Official Gazette.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Cooperation signed between Turkey and the Maldives in the capital Male on January 30, 2022 was ratified by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and published in the Official Gazette dated March 19, 2022 and numbered 31783, ratified by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, signed between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates on February 14, 2022 in Abu Dhabi.
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Environment, which includes information, experience, implementation and technology sharing in many areas such as waste management, protection of marine and coastal environments from pollution, air quality management, environmental noise management, climate change, green economy, management of chemicals, promotion of biodiversity conservation through protected areas, electronic environmental practices, development of environmental geographic information systems, friendship between Turkey and the Maldives to strengthen their relations and to improve cooperation in the field of the environment.
With the agreement signed with the United Arab Emirates; It is aimed to create an environment for strengthening the scientific and technical powers of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of the Republic of Turkey and the National Meteorological Center of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, to promote cooperation in the field of meteorology and climate monitoring for peaceful purposes, and to promote scientific research between the two countries in the field of meteorology.
