Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum attended the OECD Environment Ministers Meetings held in Paris, the capital of France.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Environment Ministers Meeting (EPOC) was held at the OECD Conference Center in Paris, the capital of France. During the first day of the two-day meeting with the theme of "Providing a Healthy and Resilient Environment for All", discussions were held on the topic of "climate change".
Minister Murat Kurum met with OECD Secretary General Cormann on the first day of the meeting. During the meeting, the issues on the agenda of the meeting and the steps taken by Turkey in the fight against climate change were discussed. Participating in the Environment Ministers Meeting held after the meeting, Minister Kurum stated that they have made great progress in the work on the Climate Law and stated that they will carry out a green transformation in the country, especially in energy, in line with the 2053 Net Zero Emission target within the scope of the law.
Participating in the work of the Environment Ministers Meeting on the second day of the meeting, Minister Murat Kurum conveyed Turkey's efforts to prevent marine pollution in the session titled "Using Policies for Sustainable Ocean Management".
