Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mr. Murat Kurum hosted the Minister of Social and Economic Housing of Malta, Mr. Roderick Galdes, and his accompanying delegation at his office.
During the meeting, consultations were held on the construction and revitalization works carried out in the provinces affected by the earthquake. Minister stated that we are always open to cooperation regarding the Maltese delegation's request for information and experience sharing regarding the disaster response plan they are preparing.
In his statement after the meeting, Minister Mr. Murat Kurum said, “We shared our vision in combating climate change, and we agreed to continue our existing cooperation in every field during our country's candidacy process for the Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP31) to be held in 2026.”
Minister thanked the Maltese delegation for their kind visit and expressed his wish that the cooperation will continue to increase.
