Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mr. Burak Demiralp attended the G20 Environment and Climate Ministers’ Meeting held in Cape Town under the presidency of South Africa.
In his remarks following the meeting, Deputy Minister Demiralp emphasized that Türkiye’s determination for a nature-compatible, fair, and sustainable future was once again underlined. He also highlighted Türkiye’s commitment to the Zero Waste Movement, expressing pride in hosting the International Zero Waste Forum in Istanbul on 17–19 October 2025.
Stressing that Türkiye will continue to take steps centered on solidarity, equality, and sustainability for healthier societies and a more resilient planet, Deputy Minister Demiralp thanked all G20 countries for their cooperation and contributions to the environment and climate agenda.
