Under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Fatma Varank, a video conference was held with the Azerbaijani and Australian delegations regarding Türkiye’s candidacy to host COP31.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Halil Hasar, President of Climate Change, Mr. İsmail Tüzgen, Director General for European Union and Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Ali Erhan Yılmaz, Deputy Director General.
The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Yalçın Rafayev, while the Australian delegation was led by Deputy Secretary Ms. Kushla Monro. The meeting addressed cooperation and coordination issues related to the COP process.
