Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, H.E. Murat Kurum, held a meeting with H.E. Miguel Pinto Luz, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing of the Portuguese Republic, and his accompanying delegation.
During the talks, which focused on the friendly relations and cooperation opportunities between the two countries, Deputy Minister H.E. Ömer Bulut, Eyüp Karahan, Director General of İLBANK, İsmail Tüzgen, Director General for EU and Foreign Affairs, and Hakkı Alp, Head of Urban Transformation, were also present.
The Portuguese delegation was briefed on Türkiye’s urbanization and housing policies, resilient settlements against disasters, climate change adaptation efforts, and green transformation projects. Ongoing domestic and international projects of TOKİ and Emlak Konut were also shared with the delegation.
In addition, Türkiye’s COP31 candidacy, fair finance and technology sharing, and approaches to supporting vulnerable regions were among the key agenda items discussed.
