Minister Mr. Murat Kurum attended the 1st Meeting of the Ministers of Environment and Ecology of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku. In the meeting held within the scope of COP29, the Ministerial Declaration was signed and important cooperation decisions were made.
Stating that Türkiye is ready to share its experiences in the field of environment with sister countries, Mr. Murat Kurum announced that with the signed Ministerial Declaration, Türkiye, which has implemented over 500 national garden projects, doubled the size of protected areas and is the leading country in Europe in afforestation, will present its knowledge and provide all kinds of support on issues such as Zero Waste, environment and wastewater.
Minister Mr. Murat Kurum said, "We will also cooperate with our heart geography for our common home, our world." and wished that these steps would be beneficial for a more livable world and a prosperous Turkic World.
