Our Deputy Minister Mr. Ömer Bulut congratulated Mr. Rossbach on his new position and emphasized his belief that the cooperation will continue to increase during his term of office.
Mr. Ömer Bulut, Bulut stated that they aim to sign the agreement on the Habitat Regional Office planned to be opened in Istanbul in December 2024 and for the office to become operational as soon as possible.
Cooperation Discussions with Azerbaijan in the Field of Housing
Mr. Ömer Bulut also met with Azerbaijani Minister of Urban Planning and Architecture, Mr. Anar Guliyev, and held consultations on cooperation with the brother country Azerbaijan. Following the meeting, the side event held at the Azerbaijan Pavilion addressed the urban planning of Azerbaijan's liberated territories and Turkey's post-earthquake reconstruction efforts.

Mr. Ömer Bulut gave a speech at the meeting held regarding the decision titled "Adequate Housing for All" taken at the 2nd UN Habitat Assembly. Relaying Türkiye's work in the context of the right to shelter, Bulut touched upon the construction of social housing and the reconstruction efforts carried out following the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6.
