Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mr. Murat Kurum met with President Mr. Ersin Tatar during his visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
During the meeting, Türkiye’s determined support for the TRNC’s just cause and the strategic cooperation between the two countries were discussed. Minister Mr. Murat Kurum said in a statement after the meeting, “The just cause of Northern Cyprus is our national cause. We are always by their side.” Our Minister was accompanied on his visit to the TRNC by Deputy Minister Mr. Ömer Bulut, TOKİ President Mr. Mustafa Levent Sungur, Director General of European Union and Foreign Relations Mr. İsmail Tüzgen and the Ministry’s attendants.
Minister Mr. Murat Kurum also stated that they will produce projects that will support the Turkish Cypriot people and that they will continue to make every effort for the TRNC to become a self-supporting, developing country.
Examined the Presidential Campus Works on Site
Our Minister Mr. Murat Kurum, who examined the Presidential Campus and the Republican Assembly Building projects under construction by TOKİ within the scope of his visit to the TRNC, was accompanied by the TRNC Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Fikri Ataoğlu. The Presidential Campus and the Republican Assembly Building are aimed to be completed by the end of the year, and the National Garden and National Mosque projects are aimed to be put into the service of the people of Cyprus by June.
The projects in the TRNC are among the investments that strengthen the cooperation between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and aim to increase the living standards of the people of the region.
