Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif received the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum and Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and their delegation at the Prime Ministry.
Speaking here, Şerif stated that Türkiye's support is a sign of friendship and brotherhood, and said, "My dear brother, Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, called me on the eve of the disaster on August 27, and conveyed his condolences. He conveyed his condolences for thousands of people who lost their lives. " said. Noting that nearly 300 of those who lost their lives were children, Shahbaz said, "The Turkish people once again showed that they are with the people of Pakistan, as they always do. As soon as the disaster struck, aid started pouring in from Türkiye. These were both government aid and aid sent by citizens." he said. Noting that relief supplies from Turkey have begun to be distributed in disaster areas, Sharif said that Pakistan has seen the highest amount of precipitation in the last 40 years.

Reminding that after the earthquakes in 2005 and 2010 in Pakistan, 4,872 houses, schools, mosques and social facilities were built by TOKİ, the Institution emphasized that today, they will act with the spirit of mobilization to meet all the needs related to damage assessment.
Interior Minister Soylu also stated that the magnitude of the disaster faced is better understood by the whole world day by day, and stated that they have established a "bridge of brotherhood" by both air and land from the first day of the flood disaster. Minister Soylu said, "Both our government and all our non-governmental organizations are in a big campaign right now. 11 planes have departed so far. 2 trains have taken action, the third train is being prepared. Approximately 10 thousand tents have been dispatched. 25 thousand food packages, as well as health care facilities. Materials and medicines, baby food, clothes and boots requested by the disaster center here were delivered." he said.

Minister Murat Kurum, who attended the Pakistan National Disaster Management Meeting after the meeting with Prime Minister Shahbaz, stated that they discussed the work to be done after the flood and the needs, and that they would take decisive steps for the damaged areas.
