First Lady Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, participated in the program "Our Common Home in the World: The Importance of Zero Waste in Combating the Climate Crisis" held at the Turkish House in New York. The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum and Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer also attended the event.
After the program, First Lady Erdoğan said, “I called on the world to sign the "Zero Waste Goodwill Statement" signed with Mr. Guterres in order to turn the Zero Waste project into a global movement.” made the statement.
