COP31 Antalya Process Discussed in Tokyo

The 24th Informal Meeting on Further Actions Against Climate Change, co-hosted by Japan and Brazil, was held in Tokyo. One of the important gatherings of climate diplomacy, the meeting brought together representatives from many countries. Türkiye was represented by Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change H.E. Fatma Varank.

During the two-day meeting, participants discussed the international climate agenda following COP30 in Belém, the key topics expected to shape the road to COP31 in Antalya, as well as the adaptation agenda and implementation aspects. Within the scope of the program, Deputy Minister H.E. Fatma Varank also visited the Embassy of Türkiye in Japan.
