Deputy Minister Fatma Varank Meets with OECD Environment Director Jaime de Bourbon de Parme

Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Fatma Varank met with OECD Environment Director Jaime de Bourbon de Parme in Istanbul.

During the meeting, cooperation in the fields of environment and climate policies was discussed. Deputy Minister Fatma Varank also shared Türkiye’s perspectives regarding the COP31 process, which Türkiye will host. Varank stated that they see COP31 not merely as a conference where negotiations take place, but as a turning point that accelerates implementation and delivers concrete outcomes.

Director General for EU and Foreign Relations İsmail Tüzgen also attended the meeting.
