Deputy Minister H.E. Fatma Varank Discussed the COP31 Process with H.E. Masami Tamura, Ambassador of Japan to Ankara

Deputy Minister Ms. Fatma Varank met with H.E. Masami Tamura, Ambassador of Japan to Ankara, at the COP31 Office located in Ankara’s Saraçoğlu Neighborhood.

During the meeting, Ms. Varank stated that the COP31 Climate Change Conference, to be held in Antalya on 9–20 November 2026, has been designed as an “Implementation COP” under the vision of “Dialogue–Compromise–Action.” She also underlined the strong diplomatic ties between Türkiye and Japan, highlighting in particular the cooperation in the field of disaster-resilient cities.
