Deputy Minister Mrs. Fatma Varank Met with Overseas Counsellors within the Scope of the COP31 Process

Deputy Minister Mrs. Fatma Varank held an online coordination meeting with the Overseas Counsellors of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change as part of the preparations for COP31.

During the meeting, ongoing work related to the COP31 process, contacts with international stakeholders, and the strategic roadmap for the upcoming period were discussed. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the active involvement of overseas counsellors in line with Türkiye’s goals in environmental and climate diplomacy, and the need to strengthen on-the-ground representation capacity in the lead-up to COP31 was highlighted. Deputy President of Climate Change Mrs. Tuğba Dinçbaş delivered a presentation on the COP31 process during the meeting.
