Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change H.E. Murat Kurum Meets with Russian Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Change to Discuss COP31 Preparations

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change H.E. Murat Kurum held a meeting with H.E. Ruslan Edelgeriyev, Special Presidential Envoy of the Russian Federation on Climate Change, within the framework of the COP31 Presidency. The parties discussed the details of the COP31 preparation process and Türkiye’s priorities.

H.E. Murat Kurum emphasized that Türkiye aims to deliver a COP31 that moves beyond pledges and focuses on concrete implementation as the host country. He underlined that Türkiye will continue to pursue its bridge-building and solution-oriented approach in climate diplomacy, and stated that efforts will proceed with determination on the basis of strong cooperation and collective wisdom.
