Our Minister Mr. Murat Kurum Receives IEA President Fatih Birol

Our Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mr. Murat Kurum, received the President of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Dr. Fatih Birol, together with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Ayşe Berris Ekinci and the accompanying delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at his office.

During the meeting, consultations were held on the COP31 Conference of the Parties, which our country will host this year, and the COP31 Action Agenda. While the roadmap of the summit that will shape climate diplomacy was discussed, the importance of the IEA’s knowledge and experience in contributing to the process was emphasized.

Our Minister Mr. Murat Kurum stated that the cooperation will be reflected in the best possible way in the preparations for COP31 and the work to be carried out.
