"Our Common House, Zero Waste for the World" Program was Held at the Presidential Complex

A program themed "Our Common House, Zero Waste for the World" was held at the Presidential Complex, in which ambassadors working in Turkey and their spouses were invited.

The program, which was hosted by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's spouse Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, also included Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Speaking at the program, Mrs. Emine Erdoğan talked about Turkey's activities in the national and international arena within the scope of the Zero Waste Project and its fight against the climate crisis. Stating that ambassadors build bridges not only between states but also between civilizations and bring the hearts of nations closer to each other, Mrs. Emine Erdoğan said, "Each of you are the representatives of the countries in our geography of hearts where no borders are drawn, and you are here today as an example of a great brotherhood."

30 Million Tons of Waste Recycled with Zero Waste

Speaking at the program, the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change stated that more than 30 million tons of waste has been recycled so far with the Zero Waste movement and 347 million trees have been saved from destruction. Referring to the fact that the Zero Waste movement, pioneered by Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, has brought a new breath to the world, the Minister Kurum said, "Zero Waste in intergovernmental climate diplomacy, as a movement that guarantees the future of all states and nations, will go down in the pages of history with golden letters with this unity we have shown today."
