Our Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mr. Murat Kurum attended the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations (UN) Convention to Combat Desertification (COP16) held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Mr. Murat Kurum opened the Turkish Pavilion established within the scope of the conference.
We Will Share Türkiye's Experiences with the Whole World
Speaking at the opening, Mr. Murat Kurum stated that they attended COP16 to convey Türkiye's fight against climate change and the work carried out under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and to share Türkiye's experiences. Mr. Murat Kurum said, "Here, we will be sharing with the whole world the steps taken by the Republic of Türkiye, which is among the top 5 countries in the world combating desertification and erosion, in terms of combating both erosion and desertification."
