The Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Evaluation Meeting, which was held on March 3, 2015 in Brussels with the authorities of the European Commission, witnessed the participation of the committee from our Ministry involving Mr. Ferruh PARMAKSIZ, Acting Head of the Department of European Investments, Mr. Tolay YILMAZ, Director Advisor, Ms. Serap PEKER, Acting Coordinator, and Ms. Ozlem ESENGIN, Acting Coordinator, under the chairmanship of Mr. M. Mustafa SATILMIS, General Director of the Department of Environmental Impact Assessment and Planning.
The authorities of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the European Union also attended the meeting as observers.
In the meeting, the issues experienced during the IPA I period were mentioned about, and the measures having been taken in order to solve these issues, the reasons for the loss of funds encountered up to the present and the suggestions for the same were presented to the authorities of the European Commission.
The steps taken by the European Commission and the measures taken by our Ministry in order to minimize the loss of funds that could be encountered at the end of IPA I period were found to be positive as a result of the meeting.
