The Ministry committee examined the investments to be made by our Department within the framework of the second construction work titled “Construction of Sewerage and Drinking Water Network in Manavgat” on site and attended the kick-off meeting of the above-mentioned construction work on March 10-11, 2015 under the chairmanship of Ms. Ozlem ESENGIN, Acting Coordinator of the Technical Implementation Unit, on behalf of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization Department of European Union Investments.
Mr. Arif KARBAK, Contract Administrator from the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey, Mr. Ozlem ESENGIN, Acting Coordinator of the Technical Implementation Unit, Mr. Sepehr MORADIAN, Senior Expert, and Ms. Nurhan SEN, Contract Expert, from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization Department of European Union Investments participated in the site visit within the scope of the project.
The total value of the investments made by the Department of European Union Investments in Antalya City Manavgat County is around 21 million Euros.
1) Construction of Manavgat Water Supply
· Establishing a monitoring system (including flowmeters) in the water tank and wells,
· Supply and montage of 5 sump pumps, and the replacement of 3 pumps in the available deep wells,
· Water distribution line from the area where the wells are located to the new water tank,
· A new water tank of 10,000 m3 (reinforced concrete works),
· Water distribution line from the water tank to the available network,
· Water distribution line to Kizilagac County,
· Replacement of 617 galvanized house connections,
· Replacement and extension of the water main have been completed.
The works to be performed within the scope of the second part of the project for which the kick-off meeting was held are as follow:
2) Construction of Sewerage and Drinking Water Network in Manavgat County
· Replacement of the available wastewater line of 67 km,
· Construction of a new wastewater line of around 5 km,
· 1688 wastewater shafts,
· 1785 house connections,
· Canal and gutter passes,
· Replacement of the available asbestos cement water distribution network of around 21.4 km,
· Replacement of the available asbestos cement force main of around 4,2 km.
During the two day site visit, our committee also visited Mr. Osman YILDIZ, Deputy General Director of Antalya Water and Sewerage Administration in his office, and gave information about the investments made by our Department.
The kick-off meeting for the “Construction of Sewerage and Drinking Water Network in Manavgat” which has been financed by the European Union Commission and coordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization witnessed the participation of Mr. Ahmet Aytekin CILAVDAROGLU, Deputy Secretary General of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Arif KARBAK, Contract Administrator from the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey, Mr. Osman YILDIZ, Deputy General Director of Antalya Water and Sewerage Administration, and Ms. Ozlem ESENGIN, Acting Coordinator of the Technical Implementation Unit, Mr. Sepehr MORADIAN, Senior Expert, Ms. Nurhan SEN and Ms. Meltem YILMAZ, Contract Experts, and Ms. Buket CICIOGLU, Programming Expert, from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization Department of European Union Investments. The representatives of Antalya Water and Sewerage Administration Project Implementation Unit, Contractor and Consultant firms were also present in the above-mentioned meeting. The representatives of the Contractor and Consultant firms made presentations about the second construction works following the opening speeches of the meeting.
