Procurement and Implementation Follow-Up Meeting was held

The monthly Procurement and Implementation Follow-Up meeting with the European Union Delegation of Turkey was held at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization on 13 May and chaired by Mr Ferruh Parmaksız, Director of the Department of European Union Investments (DoEUI).
Apart from Mr Ferruh Parmaksız, other members of the DoEUI participating in the meeting included Ms Özlem Esengin, Coordinator of the Director, Unit Coordinators of the Departments and experts from the Procurement Unit, Technical Implementation Unit and Programming Unit. During the meeting projects co-financed by the Ministry and the EU were discussed.
The EU Delegation was represented by Mr François Begeot, Head of Economic and Social Development Section along with Counsellor, Team Coordinator Ms Elif C. Torcu, Procurement Manager Mr Özgür Öcal, Sector Managers Ms Asuman Özaltay, Ms Çiğdem Çoygun Handy and Mr Arif Karbak as well as Ms Hatice Altınoklar - Environment and Infrastructure Officer.
Furthermore, Mr. Erhan Demir and Özgür Ökmen EU Experts from the Ministry of European Union Affairs attended the meeting gave valuable inputs to discussions.
During the meeting, critical implementation issues, the latest situation of the projects both in tendering and implementation phases and the upcoming Sectoral Monitoring Committee Meeting agenda were discussed.
