The 20th Sectoral Monitoring Committee Meeting of Environment Operational Programme being implemented under the IPA I Period was held on Ankara, the meeting was held by the presidency of the Deputy Secretary Mr. Mücahit Demirtaş, the Head of Programme Authority. European Commission was represented by Mr. Argyrios PISIOTIS (Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy) and Mr. Rastivlav PROKOPIC (Programme Manager), European Commision Delegation of Turkey was represented by Economic and Head of Social Development Mr. François BEGEOT (Deputy) and Head of Finance and Contracts Department Mr. Ignacio AGUIRRE ARAMBURU (Counsellor) along with sector heads attended. The meeting started with the presidency of Mr. Mücahit DEMİRTAŞ and continued by Mr. İsmail Raci BAYER with the attendance of the representatives from the Ministiry of EU, Ministiry of Treasury, various related institutions, stakeholders and NGOs. Within 80 participants meeting covered recent situation of IPA-1 period projects.
