Prior to the event organized at the invitation of the Minister of Transport of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Jozef Ráz, which celebrated the shared culture, traditions, history, and culinary heritage of Türkiye and Slovakia, an important diplomatic engagement took place.
In a bilateral meeting between Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Ms. Fatma Varank, and Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment, Mr. Tomáš Taraba, cooperation in the fields of environmental policies, sustainability, and green transformation was discussed.
During the meeting, the parties addressed the sharing of experiences in environmental matters, the development of joint projects, and steps to be taken in line with the European Green Deal. Both sides emphasized the importance of acting jointly in the fight against climate change.
Following the meeting, both deputy ministers conveyed the message that environment-focused cooperation between their countries would continue to grow stronger.
