President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, who is visiting Turkey, at the Presidential Complex. At the joint press conference held after the talks, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey will continue to stand by Lebanon as a friend of the dark days. Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, also attended the meetings between the delegations.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Lebanese Prime Minister Necip Mikati, who is on an official visit to Turkey, at the Presidential Complex. The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum also attended the meetings between the delegations of President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Necip Mikati. After their meeting, they held a joint press conference.

“Our Lebanese Brother's boredom are our boredom, their success is our success”

Speaking at the joint press conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati, President Erdoğan said: “We see the troubles of our Lebanese brothers as our own troubles and their successes as our own success. As Turkey and the Turkish Nation, we want to strengthen our cooperation and solidarity with our Lebanese brothers and the entire Lebanese people.”

"We Are Ready to Support the Lebanese Government's Reform Efforts"

President Erdoğan stated that the relations between the two countries were discussed comprehensively during the meetings and said, “We focused on developing cooperation opportunities. We discussed together with my dear friend how we can contribute to Lebanon and what additional steps we can take.” he said. Emphasizing that they will continue to stand by Lebanon as friends of the dark days, as they did yesterday, President Erdoğan said: “I emphasized that we are ready to support the Lebanese Government's reform efforts. In this context, I stated that we are ready to share experience in the digital transformation of public services.”
