Mr. Murat ZORLUOĞLU, Deputy Undersecretary of MoEU, Mr. Ferruh PARMAKSIZ, Our Director and their technical staff and Ms. Vittoria ALLIATA-DI VILLAFRANCA, Director of Directorate of Administrative Capacity Building and South-East Europe , Ms. Simona POHLOVA, Programme Manager of EU policies - Desk Officer - IPA, accession negotiations, Mr. Argyrios PISIOTIS, Team Leader of Head of IPA and accession negotiations section, Mr.Francois BEGEOT, Head of Section – Economic and Social Development Section/ EU Delegation to Turkey and Ms.Elif Ceyda TORCU, Sector Manager of Environment and Sustainable Development - Economic and Social Development Section /EU Delegation to Turkey have inspected Lüleburgaz Wastewater Treatment Plant, constructed with IPA and national contribution, on 16/10/2014. Mr. Cemalettin YILMAZ, Governor of Lüleburgaz and Mr. Emin HALEBAK, Mayor of Lüleburgaz have also participated at the inspection.
The Works contract value of the Project is approximately 11 million Euro and the WWTP will treat the wastewater of about 105.000 population. In the scope of the contract, the following works activities were carried out:
• Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant
• Extension of 1,8 km main collector for the wastewater treatment plant
• Construction of 390 m discharge main
• Construction of 5,5 km wastewater collection lines, rising main and pumping station
• Kavak Creek Rehabilitation by construction of a 3 400 m (trapezoidal channel) to reduce the flooding problem
