The 13th Meeting of Sub-Committee No. 6 Transport, Environment, Energy and Trans-European Networks was held in Brussels on 15-16 March 2016. The Sub-committee was co-chaired by the Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry for Environment and Urbanization, Mr. Mehmet Emin Birpınar and with participation of the Director of Department of EU Investments Mr. Ferruh Parmaksız.
The meeting was focused on assessing the current status of Turkey’s alignment process and implementation of the EU acquis regarding Chapter no. 27, Environment and Climate Action. The recent developments in this area, both in Turkey and in the European Union have been also discussed. The presentation titled “State of Play of IPA I and IPA II Projects” was given by Department of EU Investments. In addition, one technical side-meeting on Water Policy was held on 15 March.
