The Minister of Environment of the Czech Republic, Mr. Petr Hladik, visited the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mr. Mehmet Özhaseki, in his office. After their meeting, the two Ministers signed the "Declaration of Intent on Environmental Protection Cooperation".
In his statement after the meeting, Mr. Özhaseki said, “We held consultations on the projects of our Ministries, especially the Zero Waste movement, which our country introduced to the world and became a brand. We will increase our work with the awareness that we need to act together and produce common solutions to environmental problems in the world in order to leave our common home and world more livable to our children. We will share our experiences in combating climate change in line with our 2053 Net Zero Emission and Green Development Goal set by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; “We will cooperate in our environmental projects with the sensitivity we have.” he said.
Deputy Minister Fatma Varank, President of Climate Change Prof. attended the meeting. Dr. Halil Hasar, European Union and Foreign Relations General Manager Asst.Prof.Dr. Hüseyin Bayraktar and Environmental Management General Manager Recep Akdeniz attended.
