Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mr. Murat Kurum, who made many contacts within the framework of the COP16 program held in Riyadh, recently met with Mr. Ibrahim Thiaw, Executive Director of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.
During the meeting, topics such as drought, migration, land ownership and finance were discussed, and consultations were held especially on the steps to be taken to combat drought. Minister, Mr. Murat Kurum, shared on his social media account after the meeting, "We hope to further strengthen the close cooperation we have maintained to date with the Secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification."
