The Financial Cooperation Coordination Board Meeting was held on February 9, 2022, under the presidency of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Coordinator of Pre-Accession Assistance and the Head of the European Union Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, with the participation of the the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Special Envoy for Climate Change Prof. Dr. Mehmet Min BİRPINAR, Director General of EU and Foreign Relations and Head of Operating Structure Aytaç YÜKSEL, Head of EU Investments Department and IPA Director Dr. İsmail Raci BAYER and senior officials of the relevant Ministries and institutions by video conference method.
In the said meeting; the stage reached in the implementation of the Second Period of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II), the programming for 2023 of the Third Period (IPA III) covering the years 2021-2027, Strategic Response Document, new approaches to European Union funds within the scope of a holistic perspective, Turkey Investment Platform (TIP), Joint training activities in the IPA III period and joint communication activities in the IPA III period were discussed.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin BİRPINAR provided information, on the current status of the “Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme” within the scope of IPA II period, programming studies in IPA III period, Turkey Investment Platform, European Green Deal and Climate Change, Paris Agreement and our country's net zero emission target for 2053.
