A site visit was conducted and a contact meeting was held on March 17, 2015 within the scope of the Construction Work Tender for Wastewater Treatment Facility in Amasya City Merzifon County which is co-funded by the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. The companies which are intended to bid attended the site visit. Ms. Serap PEKER, Acting Coordinator of the Procurement Unit of the Department of European Union Investments, and Mr. Ertug KILAVUZ and Ms. Ilkem BAHCECI, Assistant Experts, provided the participants with the necessary information. The purpose of the site visit is to present the area where the project is to be implemented to the companies which are intended to bid. The bid date is April 28, 2015, and the kick-off meeting for the tender is to be held on the same day.
Merzifon Water and Wastewater Investment Project involves the following four (4) elements:
1) Technical Assistance and Consultancy work for Merzifon Water and Wastewater Project,
2) 1st Section Construction Work for Merzifon Wastewater Treatment Facility,
3) 2nd Section Construction Work for Merzifon Wastewater Treatment Facility,
4) Procurement of Goods for Merzifon Wastewater Project
The scope of the Construction Work for Merzifon Wastewater Treatment Facility involves the following:
- Design and construction works for the wastewater treatment facility.
- Contract covers all engineering design and construction (construction, mechanic and electric) works, engagement and commissioning of the facility, providing the necessary operational training for the personnel of Merzifon Municipality, handover of the wastewater treatment facility to the Municipality, and activation of the facility.
- An active sludge system is to be established for the carbone removal in Merzifon Wastewater Treatment Facility without a primary settlement and in a way to stabilize sludge in separate aerobic digesters.
- The contract also covers testing and commissioning the discharge line and extension of the available main collector to the facility as well as the partial rehabilitation of Pasa Gutter through the Wastewater Treatment Facility and construction and pipe laying works.
- The contract is to be implemented in accordance with the FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Yellow Book).
