Green Development Period

Reminding that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced at the 76th General Assembly of the UN that Turkey would be a party to the Paris Climate Agreement, the Institution revealed Turkey's green development revolution with the 2053 net zero emission target, and said, "The Paris Agreement It was approved by our Assembly in October. Thus, as Turkey, we have entered the green development period, which includes the whole world." said.

In the meeting, OECD Secretary General Cormann; He emphasized that Turkey makes constructive, productive and cooperative contributions to all activities and initiatives of the OECD in the field of environment. Cormann thanked Turkey, which is one of the countries that contributed to the coordination efforts in the field of environment among OECD members at the highest level, and also conveyed his thanks to President Erdoğan, the government of the Republic of Turkey and the people for their facilitating initiatives and mediation role in establishing peace between Russia and Ukraine.

Mehmet Emin Birpınar, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Aytaç Yüksel, General Manager of EU Foreign Relations and Head of Operating Structure, also attended the meeting. at the special invitation of Cormann, the institution signed the OECD Honor Book and expressed its wishes for success in the meeting.
