Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mr. Hasan Suver met with Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of the People's Republic of China Mr. Liu Guohong, who visited Türkiye for official contacts.
At the meeting between the delegations held at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the ongoing and targeted cooperation between Türkiye and China were discussed.
Expressing that the cooperation between the two countries clearly showed itself in difficult times at the meeting, Deputy Minister Mr. Suver expressed that China was one of the first countries to extend a helping hand during the earthquake disasters in our country in February 2023, and thanked the Chinese Government and people for this support and solidarity. Mr. Suver stated that they were pleased with the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and the acceleration of mutual high-level visits.
Noting that Türkiye and China are among the countries that promote sustainable development on a global scale, Mr. Suver said, “We can develop joint projects on green energy, environmentally friendly technologies and transition to a low-carbon economy. It is of great importance for Türkiye and China to act together in the face of global issues such as energy security, sustainable use of natural resources and environmental problems. We aim to develop experience sharing and cooperation on multilateral platforms on these issues.”
